4 Signs of Burnout

Hello there!

I want to talk to you about four signs that you may be reaching burnout. There may be various reasons why you may or may not be feeling your greatest at work. I want to talk to you about 4 signs of work burnout specifically.

  1. When you leave work, you don’t have the energy to do much else. Your energy has been drained physically, emotionally, and/or mentally due to exhaustion.

  2. You’re moody, irritable, and/or impatient because you hate the environment, amount, and/or nature of the work that you do. You’re on edge, you’re not happy, and not excited about the work that you are doing.

  3. You feel overwhelmed and can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel. For example, you know you must work, work, work to stay ahead or to try to get yourself ahead However, you don’t have time to celebrate any wins, and you really don’t even pay attention to the wins, for celebration. That is a sign that you are burning yourself out and not giving yourself the opportunity to celebrate or refresh.

  4. You don’t have time for anything fun. Sun up to sundown, you’re focus is on getting the work done.

These are four very quick signs to assess whether or not you are on the brink of burnout.

I know many people are on temporary projects right now, where you have to get things done, perhaps processes are being transformed or revamped for 2021. For this pandemic transition, a temporary surge of energy is obviously normal with project work. However, you don’t want it to be a norm where you can’t see the end to burning yourself without the proper and healthy refresh.

I hope these help you or someone you know. If you think it's going to helps someone you know, feel free to share.
